Perrier Jouet Champagne
Perrier-Jouët started as a love affair.
Perrier-Jouët - The Champagne of Love
The history of Perrier-Jouët started with Pierre-Nicolais-Marie Perrier falling in love with Adèle Jouët. The couple wed in 1811 and launched their champagne company Perrier-Jouët, reaching fame for its unique style, renowned for floral elegance and superior quality.
Perrier-Jouët - The Champagne of "La Belle Epoque"
Perrier-Jouët’s history is also intimately tied to one of art’s most exciting epochs, Art Nouveau or “La Belle Epoque”. This is clearly visible on the champagne house’s prestige cuvée and the bottle Belle Epoque. The bottle was created in 1902 by the renowned glassmaker Emile Gallé and the white, hand-painted anemones on the bottle are a clear expression of this.
Perrier-Jouët - The Champagne of Sophistication
With its excellent quality, Perrier-Jouëts Champagne has come to symbolise the perfect harmony of the region and the people who live and work there. The entire process is very sophisticated and is a work of art to produce sparkling wine.
Perrier-Jouët and the Region of Champagne
By law, Champagne can only come from wine produced in the Champagne district. The region is divided into three main areas: Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. The soil is special and unique and dominated by chalk and limestone, which gives the champagne its own, fantastic character.
