Germany
Germany is a multifaceted wine country that, like much of the old world, presents entirely unique wines of the highest quality.
The German climate is cool, providing a long growing season that gives balanced wines with crisp acidity and rich concentration. Germany is the homeland of the Riesling grape and, with the exception of Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), white grape varieties dominate the country. The many wine districts reflect breadth and diversity, and include famous regions such as Mosel, Pfalz and Rheinhessen.
